The Encounter

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8)

Most men have a deep desire to become The Man God Intended (Disciple). At On Target Ministries we have discovered three key markers that identify that man.

The Encounter is an experience designed to help men in the first and most important part of the process of becoming a true disciple, RELATIONSHIP.

Relationship, intimacy with God, is a common struggle for most men. Every-day life, with its responsibilities and distractions often get in our way as we seek to hear Him and sense His presence.

It is our prayer that this experience will help you get closer to our Lord and give you some takeaway ideas you can incorporate into your daily devotional times.

Preparing for your time with God:

1. Spend time in the days leading up to your time with God to pray about your expectations
2. List specific questions or concerns you want to talk with Him about
3. Pray that He give you a spirit of expectation

What to bring:

• Consider headphones for music (all devices MUST be in airplane mode)
• A lawn chair (check the weather and dress appropriately)
• Your Bible and a notepad and highlighter
• Some bottled water
• A list of things you want to pray for and concerns you want to bring before Him

NOTE: All electronic devices MUST be left at home or in your car or room.
