June was a BIG month for the D’Acchioli’s
As I write you today it is Cindy and my 54thwedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe that it has been almost 6 decades ago I met this beautiful and grace-filled lady. She truly has been, and still remains the love of my life.
We finally found our new rental home here in the new and beautiful community called Cordera. It fits us perfectly and actually came in less than what we were paying. Now, the hard part! The move. Thanks to many at our church, including the whole Holt family and volunteers, we were able to move most of our belongings without professionals in one day. It was amazing. Cars and trucks everywhere.
Over the following week we moved the rest, culminating with a professional mover who came in on the 29thto move a few heavy pieces. Thank you so much to all who helped—what an amazing blessing.
Father’s Day was awesome. We served all our dads and their families with a special breakfast. We also announced our new men’s ministry effort called AIM(All In Men). This is a direct takeoff on our OTI(On Target Institute) model we have had here in the Springs for over 15 years. I am so excited to roll this out. We are actually growing in numbers, which is unusual for summer here in the Rockies. Around 50+ men call this their weekly men’s gathering. We meet every Tuesday from 6-7:15 here at The Road @ Chapel Hills.
On the 19thI was privileged to bring the morning staff devotional for Dr. Jim Dobson’s organization, Family Talk here in Colorado Springs. I shared three powerful principles that the Lord has impressed upon me over the last 20-30 years of ministry. The reception was wonderful.
This weekend I am speaking at my church on The Secret To Living The BE-Attitudes. The Lord has been developing this message in me for the last couple of months. It all has to do with Worshipand what I call the three barriers to effective worship: a narrow or cavalier understanding of God, a narrow theological perspective and a reluctance toward surrender.
Look at this powerful passage in Exodus. This is God responding to Moses after he asked God, Who am I? Exodus 3:11-12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”
In essence what God said to Moses is, you are a bringer of my people to the mountain. And why did He want them there?…because this is where they received the law, in the form of the Tabletsand the call to worship in the Tabernacle. This is truly where the concept of worshipping God in Spiritand Truth really began.
I want you to know how much Cindy and I love and appreciate you. We could not continue our ministry to men, couples and Pastors without your prayers and financial support.
May you experience Gods richest blessings,
