Hayford Intro

Hello there, Pastor Jack Hayford here. I wish I could be at that gathering you're situated at right now, in this occasion in which there is a relaunching, a renewal of focus and passion of the ministry of On Target and Vince D'Acchioli. Vince and Cindy were part of our congregation. He was a very successful executive here in Southern California, and God began to move on this man. I observed the grace of God in him.

I've never believed that it's a greater thing to serve the Lord in pastoral work or spiritual leadership than in the secular community. Living for Christ with the gifts you have is what life is about. Vince makes that very clear. But God happened to call him from out of the business world into ministry these many years ago. Perhaps you're among those who support him.

Anna and I do. My wife and I have known, loved, and regarded this couple highly for many years from the time Vince entered full-time into Christian leadership and work. I heard that he had come to work in Southern California. In fact, met him where he was working in a very large omega church here out in the San Bernardino area. And I was speaking there and we had a good time of renewed fellowship.

And in that environment, he told me about the relaunch. He said, Listen, I'd speak a word gladly if it weren't that I'm standing on the brink of my 80th birthday and I don't fly around with impunity the way I used to. I could bounce in and out of town and not even feel any ripples in my system. But I do today. But I'm delighted to be there with you in this way at this time.
