OTM RPM Endorsement

This is On Target with Vince D'Acchioli. Hello and how you doing? Vince D'Acchioli here with On Target Ministries coming to you from our On Target Institute studio here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I wanted to take some time out of our taping schedule today to talk to you about a friend of mine. His name is Tom Cheshire and he represents Relevant Practical Ministry to Men or RPM.

You know, as one of the original founders for the National Coalition of Ministries to Men, going back about 20 years now, there are several things that we've been studying about what we've done with men over all of this time and they have led to, at least in my mind, several things that we need to better understand as we move forward if we truly are going to make disciples for Jesus. Three things I want to share with you. First is the customer confusion. By that I mean in the early days of the movement, we thought our customer was actually the man. We've come to realize our real customer is not the man, but the local church and the senior pastor.

It's very important that we understand that as we move forward. The second thing is the event versus process driven strategies paradigm. While events are wonderful, and they really are, by themselves they really don't have power to help men to grow. We need to use the event as a catalyst to move men into process driven strategies in order for them to apply precept on precept approaches toward growth. And then the third thing and most important is growth through relationships.

I have a quote that says it takes a relational environment in order for truth to become transformational. We need to really get this and I need to tell you that Tom and his team at RPM, they get all three of those. I want to recommend him to you in the highest possible way to come alongside you and your men in your church and help you disciple them. He is the real deal with a huge heart for pastors and the local church. And lastly, a shout out to ISI.

The Iron Sharpens Iron conferences that RPM does are top notch. If your men have never attended one of these dynamic events, you need to encourage them to do so. Thank you so much for listening. Until next time, hey, don't forget about it.
