When you're with them, here's the real key to really getting into their world.

Ask caring questions. A friend of mine years ago, he has a great question. He would talk to people, and I remember when I first talked to him years ago, he would say, Vince, tell me what's going on in your world right now. And I thought, wow, what a great question, you know, because we enjoy telling stories. And so when I'm with my grandkids, what I'll do oftentimes, and I'll say, hey, you know, Colton, tell me what's going on in your world right now.

What are the things that are concerning you, and what are the good things that maybe God is doing in your life? And I'll start asking those kinds of questions. But here's the key, the second part of that is the word, simply listen. And by the way, you know, guys, the definition of listening is really very simple. It's just wanting to hear, just three words.

It's really being attentive and really registering with what they're trying to tell you. Very important to get into their life by asking caring questions.
